The Local Diplomacy Studies Commission (CEDL), has been dedicated, within its multiple activities, to monitoring and follow-up of international activities carried out by local governments of the Mexican Federation -in this case, Municipalities and States -, obtaining as a result the edition and publication of this informative bulletin, which includes said activities carried out during the month of February of the current year.

The most notable actions are the following:
Within the Northwest region, the capital of Baja California, Mexicali, stands out, which seeks to be considered a "Creative City" by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO, for its acronym in English) to achieve the economic development that the locality needs in a fast and solid way; In the Northwest region, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the Government of the State of Nuevo León and the Danish Embassy on sustainability, renewable energy, agribusiness, environment and industry 4.0 stands out; in the Western region, the joint work of the Government of Michoacán and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) for the rights and protection of children and adolescents stands out; In the Eastern region, the Puebla City Council stands out, which in alliance with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), seeks to facilitate the creation of companies through the promotion of innovation and productivity; In the Central North region, they also pondered the issues of Economic Promotion, for example, the commercial mission that the government of Zacatecas initiated with the Embassy of Israel in Mexico to strengthen and promote agribusiness.
On the other hand, in the south of the country, in the Central South region, Morelos was the most active state, highlighting the collaboration between local companies, through the Secretary of Economic Development and Labor of Morelos (SDEyT) together with the National Association of Importers and Exporters of the Mexican Republic (ANIERM), and Finland with the aim of promoting business between the Nordic country and Mexico; For the Southwest region, it is worth noting the signing of the Protocol of Agreement and Friendship between the municipality of San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas and the Agglomeration of Communes (CAP, for its acronym in French) of northern Martinique, France, to share experiences decentralized cooperation on mitigation, adaptation and resilience against Climate Change in agriculture, housing and sustainable tourism; Finally, in the Southeast region, the provision of medical equipment for personal protection to the General Hospital of Valladolid, in Mérida, Yucatán by the United States government, stands out in the Health sector as help to the locality to face the pandemic. by Covid-19.
