Local Mexican Diplomacy Newsletter March 2022
- Information bulletin on the international activity of Mexican local governments carried out in March 2022.
After the events in Ukraine, international relations took a leading role in everyday discussions. However, it is not gratifying that derived from an unfortunate fact, such as the use of violence for conflict resolution, our discipline is in day-to-day conversations.
From this space, we hope that what happened will come to an end soon. The use of violence will never be justifiable in any sphere, in any part of the world, nor does it come from whomever the aggression comes from. At CEDL we believe that, at present, we must strengthen cooperation in the international arena and ratify that our commitment as internationalists is and will always be the well-being of the civilian population.
In view of the cooperation actions carried out by local actors in Mexico, we can highlight that days before the Irish national celebration of "Saint Patrick's Day", the government authorities of Guadalajara, Jalisco received the diplomatic representation of the Embassy of Ireland in Mexico , since the Irish nation will offer a literary, gastronomic and cultural exhibition as part of the activities planned in the appointment of Guadalajara as World Book Capital.
On the other hand, the government of Guanajuato headed by Diego Sinhue carried out a signing with the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture, with the aim of promoting education, science and culture in the State, as well as like, end the educational havoc left by the Covid-19 pandemic. Likewise, the Secretary of Government in Guanajuato, Libia García Muñoz Ledo, was present, who commented that it is a historic opportunity for Guanajuato.
We thank you for sharing this project, to reflect the advantages and advances that Mexican Local Diplomacy has had during the third month of 2022.
